THE CAPITAL OF THE UAE IS ABU DHABI
The United Arab Emirates are an association of a total of seven emirates, the best known of which are certainly Dubai and Abu Dhabi. The other emirates are Fujairah, Ajman, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaima as well as Umm Al-Qawain.
The capital of the UAE is not as many people probably assume Dubai it`s Abu Dhabi insteed. Abu Dhabi is also the emirate with the largest oil reserves in the UAE. Dubai on the other hand generates most of the income from the airport and the tourism industry.
CURRENT SECURITY SITUATION
Due to current events security in the Arab region is repeatedly given a blanket negative assessment. This prejudice must be countered because the Emirates are among one of the safest countries in the world. According to the Numbeo Crime Index the UAE ranks at least in the top 5 safest countries in the world every year.
Fears that women are at a disadvantage in their professional or personal lives in the UAE are absolutely unfounded.
Also the claims: Women have to wear veils or are not allowed to drive cars make us smile regularly – they are completely wrong.

Other prejudices – pork and alcohol
Fake news also exists in this area: Yes alcohol and pork are forbidden for Muslims. But this applies only to Muslims. Non-Muslims can buy both in various stores. Otherwise, why not enjoy German cuisine at the “Brauhaus” in Abu Dhabi or in the “Hofbräuhaus” in Dubai? Drinking alcohol in public is prohibited in all cases.
According to Numbeo’s Cost of Living Index Rate, Abu Dhabi currently ranks 270th out of 508 in the world for cost of living with 1st place being the most expensive. In comparison living in German cities such as Düsseldorf (68th), Frankfurt (86th), Hamburg (105th) and even Heidelberg (179th) is far more expensive. Dubai ranks 198th in this ranking and is still cheaper than the Austrian capital Vienna.
